Siragu alumni support - A giveback initiative

blog-thumb

Suyam Charitable Trust is a foundation for excellence with a vision to change ‘Impossible’ to ‘I am Possible’.

It was established in the year 1999 by Dr. Uma, who is the Founder Managing Trustee and Chief Functionary of the organisation.

🏫 Siragu Montessori School is the flagship project of Siragu, empowering 400+ children through free education of International standards. We have reached a milestone of helping 120+ students graduate from Siragu, with many more set to complete shortly.

We are blessed to have touched the lives of various communities: Begging communities, Nomadic tribes, child laborers, migrant workers, coolie laborers etc.

🤝 The Siragu Alumni are doing commendable work. From the 1st lockdown announcement in March 2020 till the present day, our dedicated group of Alumni are giving back, by managing the school and taking care of children.

They support Siragu by: feeding the children; facilitating online classes & arranging exposure visits; arranging daily commutes of day scholars; organising specific events like thildren’s tay outs; managing the stores, tending to medical emergencies; driving cars and tempo for transportation; GI sheet fencing work (to act as compound wall). Additionally, painting walls & designing banners & preparing proposals and reports. A highlight activity is Construction of temporary cow sheds with the help of skilled masons and senior students 🔨

With your continued & ever-constant support, the Alumni teamwork are empowered to support Siragu. We thank you for making a difference in the lives of people who can make a difference in the society.

Helping them grow wings!🕊️
